AP 160 - Occupational Health and Safety Committee
Background
An Occupational Health and Safety Committee is to be established in each school or workplace in the Division according to the Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, 1996. Occupational Health and Safety Committee minutes are to be completed a minimum of every three (3) months. The established months for this to occur in the Division have been set as September, December, March and June.
Procedures
- After each meeting of the school’s Occupational Health and Safety Committee, documentation of the meeting is to be completed using the Minutes: AF 160 Occupational Health & Safety Form.
- COPY 1 – Permanent Committee Files
- COPY 2 – Post on Committee Bulletin Board for Information of Workers

2. It is the principal’s responsibility to keep a copy of the meeting documentation at the school level for their records.
