National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA+ people We honour the lives taken and raise awareness of this ongoing crisis of violence. Did you know that Indigenous women are four times more likely than non-Indigenous women to be victims of violence? And that, from 2001–2014, the rate of homicides involving Indigenous female victims was four times higher than that of non-Indigenous female victims?
