AP 202 - Student Subject Loads
Background
Principals shall timetable students to take full advantage of the educational program offered by the Division. Some exceptions may be made for older students.
Procedures
1. Students in Kindergarten to Grade 5 are to fully participate in the educational program offered at that level.
2. Students in Grades 6 to 9 are to take all subjects offered at each year unless deemed optional by the principal with the agreement of the parents/guardians.
3. Students in Grades 10 - 12 are strongly urged to take a full complement of courses during the school year. For Grade 10 - 12 students to take less than a full complement of subjects, permission must be received from their parents/guardians and the principal.
