Watson School student to compete at Taekwondo World Championships

Devdan Chegus of Watson School is heading to Germany to compete in the Taekwondo World Championships!

At 15 years old, Devdan is the second-youngest athlete on this year’s Canadian team. He will be travelling with the team to Munich, Germany, where they will compete against athletes from around the world on April 24-28.

Devdan trains at the Watson Taekwondo Club with trainer, Jeff Turchyn.  He earned 2nd place in the light-heavy sparring category at the National Championships held in Calgary on November 11, qualifying him for the World Championship team.
