Cross Country
Twenty-one students from Wakaw School attended the HCAA Pre District Cross Country Meet on Wednesday, September 26 th at Watson’s McNab Regional Park Golf Course. Of those twenty-one, twelve students placed in the top ten of their respective age categories, and will advance to Districts on Thursday, October 4th, at the same location.

Wee Pee Girls: Taylor Andreen - 4th, Danika Skoworodko - 7th, Marti Burechailo – 9th, Sara Korol – 10th, Hannah Korol – 12th, Dalayna Gaudet – 20th,
Emma Roberts – 23rd, Kayla Peacock – 27th
Wee Pee Boys: Isaac Frie – 2nd , Cameron Jacobson – 6th, Justin Malyk – 27th, Austin Bremner – 31st, Dylan Roberts – 34th, Tanner Roberts – 35th
Pee Wee Girls: Casandra Greschuk - 5th, Halle Gaudry - 6th, Ava Mourot - 7th, Avery Zarysky - 10th
Pee Wee Boys: Noah Skoworodko - 14th
Bantam Girls: Drew Jacobson - 4th
Midget Girls: Penny Bellefontaine - 5th

Districts, Thursday, October 4th:

Twelve out of twenty-two students from Wakaw School placed in the top ten at Cross Country Pre-districts, and advanced to the Cross Country District Championship at Watson’s McNab Regional Park, on Thursday, October 4 th . It was a very successful day, as almost every individual time was improved.

WeePee Girls: Taylor Andreen - 13th, Sara Korol- 17th, Marti Burechailo - 19th, Danika Skoworodko - 21st
WeePee Boys: Cameron Jacobson - 6th, Isaac Frie - 7th
PeeWee Girls: Halle Gaudry - 12th, Casandra Greschuk - 14th, Ava Mourot - 15th, Avery Zarysky - 19th
Bantam Girls: Drew Jacobson - 7th
Midget Girls: Penny Bellefontaine - 8th

Provincials, Saturday, October 13th:

Congratulations to Penny Bellefontaine who competed at the Provincial Cross Country Championship on Saturday, October 13th in Delisle. The course and the weather were challenging factors. Penny finished 77th out of more than 100 of the top midget aged female runners in the province. Penny had an extremely busy weekend, competing with the Senior B Girls Volleyball Team Friday night in Humboldt, competing at Cross Country Provincials Saturday, then proceeding to play with the Senior A Girls Volleyball Team at St. Joseph’s in Saskatoon, and finishing off the evening playing Midget Girls AA Hockey in Prince Albert.
