This week, Mr. Lorne Gottselig (pictured, left) and Mr. Gerard Frison (right)
received a
Youth Science Canada Distinguished Service Award. They are two of
ten people across Canada presented with this honour. Both of these teachers are
located at William Derby School in Strasbourg and have been involved in science
fairs throughout their careers. They have been instrumental in guiding school
fairs and have been involved in regional, provincial and national fairs as
well. Their commitment to students in promoting science has resulted in
numerous students winning awards at the
Canada-Wide Science Fair. As
volunteers, they have dedicated many hours over the years to promoting science
and encouraging students to have an inquisitive outlook.
Congratulations to both of these deserving teachers!
