Orange Day for Horizon Students and Staff June 1

​In remembrance of the 215 children whose remains were found at the site of the former Kamloops Residential School, flags at all Horizon schools and facilities are at half-mast today and until further notice.

Horizon students and staff are invited to wear orange tomorrow, June 1.


We join in the grieving of this matter, and our hearts are with everyone for whom this is a reminder of loss and hardships in their own families and communities.

The damage done by Canada’s Residential School System reaches across nations, communities, and generations. We honour the victims, survivors, and family members by learning all we can about the atrocities of our past. Understanding the scope and the harm is the only way for true healing and reconciliation to occur.
