AP 429 - Teacher Demographics

Data obtained on the opening day of each school year is essential in ensuring that the Division has updated and accurate records needed to:
  • Ensure accurate placement of professional staff on the provincial salary grid as outlined in the Provincial Collective Agreement;
  • Confirm current teaching assignment;
  • Track changes to academic qualifications be they additional degrees, certificates and/or diplomas;
  • Track changes to areas of specialization in which professional staff are qualified to teach;
  • Ensure that accurate data pertaining to areas of accreditation are established and maintained; and
  • Confirm total years of teaching experience both inside and outside the Division, the province of Saskatchewan, and where applicable, years of experience in Band or Federal Schools.

1.  At the beginning of each school year, each teacher will complete the AF 429 - Teacher Demographics Form.pdf.

2.  The data that teachers are asked to record on this form is treated as confidential information to which a very limited number of Division personnel have access.

3.  Only the Director, the Superintendent of Human Resources, and the Supervisor of Payroll have full access to all the data included on the Teacher Demographics Form. Area Superintendent of Schools have access to the data that pertains to the teachers assigned to the schools in their geographic area.

4.  Access to the data by individuals other than those identified above is scrutinized and determined on an individual need-to-know basis.
