Martial artists, sisters - Natalie Bitternose (left) and Tiara Pelletier (right), with their medals
The Saskatchewan Taekwon-Do Federation International (STFI) held their provincial championships in Regina on March 11, and two Horizon students came away with multiple medals. Tiara Pelletier (student at Punnichy Community High School) won two gold and her younger sister, Natalie Bitternose (student at George Gordon Education Centre), won two bronze -- one each in the categories of Sparring and Patterns. The sisters have been training in Regina year-round, twice a week, and that training has clearly paid off.
"It feels great," said Tiara of her gold-medal wins. "I was pretty amazed to see the judges' flags and know that i won."From the STFI website
